As usual, we had quite a few people and plenty of fun to go around. Of the 28 people who braved the fierce drizzle and ominous overcast sky, 8 of them had never been to GAMES! before, that's almost 30% brand new people. Games played included Bohnanza, Battlestar Galactica, RoboRally, Ticket To Ride, Formula D, Shadows Over Camelot, Waterworks, Trivial Pursuit and Cargo Noir, plus more.
Kevin won the door prize and grabbed the copy of Power Struggle that we just added. Next month we'll be putting a copy of Small World into the Prize Vault for you to win.
Our next event is scheduled for June 11th, still from 3-9pm. Put it on your calendar now and tell your friends to come play games with you (and tell your enemies too, so you can beat them in your favorite game). We'll see you then (and hopefully I'll get the April and May event photos posted by then too).
I got my computer fixed up (RAM failed and had to be replaced), so I'm back again with news of our next event. GAMES! is back too, this Saturday, from 3-9pm. As always, we'll be playing board games, card games, ping pong, foosball, air hockey and maybe even some dexterity games.
The new game in the Prize Vault this month is Power Struggle, a well-rated game that you could take home free!
Although there won't be any Car Wars action again until July (at least with me as the referee), there will still be plenty of fun for all. Don't miss it, this Saturday, May 14th.
Shanna here, filling in for Bob in writing this post as his computer has been out of commission for a few days. We had a great event on Saturday with 37 people in attendance. We did have Car Wars again (first a death match and then a race), and some of the other games that were played were Cargo Noir, Battle Cry, Alhambra, and Trivial Pursuit, among several others.
Heather won the door prize this month, she took home Bohnanza. We'll be adding another game to replace it before next month. Not sure what yet, though. You'll have to wait to find out!
If you missed out on this event, put the next one on your calendar now: May 14th from 3-9pm. Hope to see you then!
