Randy and Debbie told me that GAMES! was fun, and well attended (including some new people). According to the notes I was given, there was about 22 people there, not including the ladies that were busy in the kitchen making Christmas goodies.

Devlin won the door prize drawing and took home a copy of Dixit. I've got a big pile of stuff to replace it with, so there should be something good in there again next month.

The dates for 2013 hadn't been available here previously, but they are now posted and firm (no more babies in the forecast, though inclement weather might cause us to cancel on short notice, so check the GAMES! website before driving to the event if you think there's a chance it might get canceled for weather). Although I no longer have the perfect attendance record, I'll do my best to attend all future GAMES! events (or cancel them in advance when necessary). Huge thanks go out again to Randy and Debbie for hosting the last event for 2012; be sure to join us again in 2013.

As far as I know, this month's event will still be happening, though there's some question of who will be officially hosting it. Our baby arrived on Nov 27th, so we're home from the hospital now, but caring for a newborn is exhausting and difficult, so I might not make it to GAMES! this month. Nobody comes to GAMES! just to see me, however, so you should plan to be there even if I'm not. It's happening this Saturday, from 3-9pm and will be at least a warm place to enjoy some gaming with friendly people. Tell your friends to come along and bring their favorite game, and be sure to thank whoever ends up hosting the event this month.

Another event has come and gone. We had 26 people show up again (same as last month), we went through four pizzas and we celebrated Devlin's birthday with cupcakes! There was also another brand new person who hadn't ever been to GAMES! before (and heard about our events on Board Game Geek).

Olivia won the prize drawing (just like she did last November) and grabbed a brand new copy of Mastermind. We'll find another kid-friendly game to replace it with next month.
