I'm not sure whether it was the snow flying or the game in Iowa City today; we had a pretty thin crowd this month at only 15 people, but we still had plenty of fun. We played Formula D, Antike, and Ticket To Ride with the dice expansion, among several others.

Carla won the door prize this month and selected the newest addition: Age Of Empires 3. We also had some yummy homemade desserts along with the traditional pizza and pop.

We'll do it again next month, on November 14th from 3-9pm. I ordered the PitchCar expansions and they are scheduled for delivery this week, so there's a good chance that I'll be bringing that again next time. No matter what, there should be something that you'll enjoy.

Let's see if we can beat last month's "nearly 40 people" on Saturday. Our next event is less than a week away, October 10th, from 3-9pm, and we really want to see you there.

We're adding Age Of Empires 3 to the Prize Vault this month, so make sure you get your name in the drawing. The usual food and fun will still be available, even if you don't win a free, brand-new game.

Tell all your friends about the event or at least bring somebody with you; it's more fun when there's more people to add more variety. No matter what, make plans right now to be there yourself, because you do not want to miss out.

We had a great event this month with lots of participation. There was nearly 40 people in attendance, including several who had come for the first time (but will likely be back). There were some favorites played, including Apples To Apples and Starfarers, some newer games that we hadn't seen before, including Snow Tails, and some fun kid games, like Wig Out, Sequence For Kids and Hi Ho! Cherry-O. Photos are already posted below.

Matthew won the door prize this month and grabbed Colosseum. As always, the pizza and various desserts were well-received (though everybody seemed to only have twenty-dollar-bills, so the kitchen had trouble coming up with enough change) and the chocolate chip cookie bars went much quicker than anticipated (entirely my fault, since I cut the pieces too big).

Our next event is already scheduled for October 10th from 3-9pm, as shown at the top of the right column; make sure it's on your calendar. In fact, go ahead and mark down the events for the rest of the year, because you won't want to miss all of the fun.
