It's time once again for fun and games, this time with extra fun due to the inclusion of Car Wars. It's been a few months since I've brought out the arena for a wholesome deathmatch, so there should be some pent up rage to help fuel the war. As always, we'll still have the usual board games, card games, foosball, ping pong and air hockey too, plus the monthly door prize giveaway.
There's still a copy of Settlers of Catan in the Vault, plus some other wonderful things. There's even some extra items that were donated, though you'd need the Lord Of The Rings base game to take advantage of them. We picked up a free copy of Pirate's Cove since last month, so we're gonna add that this month.
We will, of course, also have some yummy pizza and homemade dessert for your consumption. Tell all of your friends and plan to join us this Saturday, January 8th from 3-9pm. See ya there!
Today we shared the kitchen with some Christmas treat makers, but they were happy to share their creations when they had finished and the few of us present were happy to enjoy them. Aside from the treats, we had fun playing all sorts of board games, despite having a smaller group (14 people). I saw Civilization, Hero Quest, Pandemic, Chronology and others get played; pictures will be up at some point.
Tom was chosen in the door prize drawing and grabbed the copy of Pandemic that we added last month. There's still some good stuff in there and we'll find something else to add for next time.
Don't forget, next month will include some Car Wars death match action (can you tell I'm excited about it?), with motorcycles. Make sure to put Saturday, January 8th from 3-9pm on your 2011 calendar (go buy one first, if necessary) and join us for the next GAMES! @ BRBC event. Oh, and tell a friend, because they'll have fun too!
It's a busy month, what with all of the various Christmas festivities, but there's still time for GAMES! @ BRBC. We're still following our usual second Saturday trend, which drops this month's event on the calendar for this Saturday, December 11th. There won't be a Car Wars Deathmatch (that's next month), but we'll still have fun with the usual board games, card games, dexterity games and yummy food. There might even be some fresh home-made goodies being prepared during the event for us.
As indicated in the last blog post, I'm gonna try to get a copy of Settlers of Catan for the Prize Vault (assuming BattleZone Games has one available for us).
If you need any more reasons to come to GAMES! this month, let me know; maybe we can exchange gifts or something (I'll give you my presence if you give me yours). Otherwise, just consider it a turn-based Christmas party and come join us this Saturday from 3-9pm. It'll be a jolly good time.
