Welcome to summer! Now that it's warm outside (but not too warm, yet) we'll understand if you can't make it to GAMES! because you're out having fun in the sun. However, if you can make it to GAMES! we'll be thrilled. No, seriously. June's event is this Saturday, June 20th from 3-9pm.

As usual, we'll be doing a Papa John's order and we'll have a selection of refreshing beverages, plus some sort of yummy homemade dessert. Come hungry (but feel free to just come, even if you don't eat anything).

This month we added the original Settlers Of Catan game to the Prize Vault, for those people who might be new to board gaming and want to pickup a great gateway game and start building their collection.

In case it applies to your family, there will also be a teen Backyard Barbecue hosted by the church's youth group at the same time and location. Come check out GAMES! this month and see what you've been missing!

Even with the nice Spring weather, we had a good crowd at our May event: 24 people. Everybody seemed to have a good time and we even saw some new games get played. There was a game of Battlestar Galactica, some Ticket To Ride, For Sale, Formula D and the brand-new-straight-from-London dexterity game SuperFooty. Tom won the door prize and picked Stone Age. We'll find another good game to refill the Prize Vault for next month. And yes, we do consider the requests on the prize entry slips.

No tournaments were held again this month, but there was still plenty of action on the ping pong table. We'll keep setting it up, but maybe not the dart board (unless there's specific interest at a given event). We'll also be setting up a special table or two for dexterity games in coming months; bigger, sturdier tables with no chairs.

Howdy y'all! Our next GAMES! event is this Saturday, May 16 from 3-9 PM.

Once again, we'll be ordering pizza and will have some yummy homemade desserts to enjoy with it. The full menu will be posted in the right column before the event begins.

The forecast for the weekend says it might rain and if you can't be outside you might as well be having fun with us, so plan to bring your family, friends, and favorite games and we'll see you on Saturday.
