What Is GAMES! @ BRBC?

GAMES! is a monthly game night designed to be as much fun as possible in a friendly, open environment. There are plenty of games to play, spanning the full spectrum from traditional family board and card games to "gamer" games and even some active games, like foosball, air hockey and ping-pong. We welcome anyone college-age or above (yes, you can bring your kids) to bring their games and come have a good time!

Our facility is basically a gymnasium with a concrete floor, kitchen access and clean restrooms. We will have a good number of folding chairs and tables plus an area for the "active" games (ping pong, foosball, etc.). The building is handicap accessible and is easy to find. You can find map links under Information on the right side of this page.

This website is updated regularly with new event information, photos and games available to win. If you have questions about anything you see here—or don't see here—please contact us and we'll do our best to get you an answer. If you'd like to join our mailing list to get notified of new entries on this website, there's a form in the right column that will get you on the list.

One of the most exciting things about GAMES! is that not only do we play games, but we give them away too! Every month we give away one free game as a door prize that you could win just by showing up. In addition to donated games, all proceeds from the GAMES! Kitchen will buy more games for the Prize Vault.

Answers To Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. Is this a "church" event or just held at a church? — The event is hosted by a church and several of the church members attend the event, but we strive to make it a non-threatening environment where you can just come and have fun. In fact, two-thirds of the people that come to GAMES! have never been to one of our formal church services.
  2. Do you have games to play or should I bring my own? — The event organizers (and some of the regular attenders) bring a selection of their own games every month, but you are definitely welcome to bring your own if there's something that you specifically want to play.
  3. How big is this event usually? — In 2009, we averaged 27 people at each event but we had 92 different individuals attend over the course of the year, so it could be quite a large event if all of them decided to attend on the same day.
