And that means it's time for the next game day! Our next event is this Saturday, December 8 from 3-9 PM.

We just ordered another game for the Prize Vault - La Citta. I doubt it will arrive by Saturday, but it will certainly be added to the Vault before January's event. Also, we need to mention that since we only give away one prize each month, each person is only eligible to win once every six months.

The Kitchen will be open from 5-8 PM this month. The December menu is now posted on the right.

Have any of you gotten any new games lately?

I have some new games coming in the mail this week: Age of Empires III, Louis XIV, Traders of Genoa, Fury of Dracula and Caylus. Probably won't have these learned well enough by Saturday to teach anyone else, but promise to bring them if someone already knows how to play and would like to teach me! Otherwise, I am bringing Notre Dame and Princes of Florence again this weekend, as both games went over very well with the newbies to both games... and I will have Colosseum, Power Grid and some odds and ends. Looking forward to seeing everyone, gettin' that board game itch game again - and I am dyin' to scratch it! Rick

Rick, All the games you mention sound good to me. I have played Traders of Genoa, Fury of Dracula, Caylus, Nortre Dame, and Power Grid. I would like to learn Princes of Florence, Colosseum, Age of Empires III, and Louis XIV. I am willing to teach Traders of Genoa, Fury of Dracula, or Caylus. I recently got the expansion power plant cards for Power Grid.

I will be sure to bring the games, always happy to learn from someone with experience (saves hours of plugging blindly through learning a new game... funny how you can read and re-read directions, think you understand the game, and when it comes to actually playing it seems like a foreign world!).

Hopefully we'll get out there tomorrow. I'll be bringing Kill Dr. Lucky, Lord of the Rings w the Friends & Foes expansion (if anyone wishes to press their luck after our last win!) and Battlelore if anyone wants to play that with me. I started painting my set, but hopefully nobody will mind most of the figures being unpainted yet and some "in process" :)
