The weather is starting to turn colder and it's time to start doing fun stuff inside again. Since board games are best played indoors anyway, it's only logical to come to GAMES! and play games with us. It'll be fun, as usual, guaranteed (or we'll refund the cost of admission—it's free!).

We've added yet another copy of Colosseum to the Prize Vault (we got several copies cheap on Tanga) to replace Dominion (which Kevin grabbed last month). This is our last copy of Colosseum, so next month we'll probably get something from BattleZone Games for the Vault.

In spite of "the game" (Iowa vs. Iowa State) being played just a few miles south, we had quite a crowd at this month's event, 35 total, including some new folks again. Photos are at the bottom of the page, as usual.

Kevin won the door prize this month and grabbed Dominion; he even cracked it open and played it a couple times before the end of the event. We'll pick up another game before the October event to replace it.

Our next event is on Saturday, October 9th from 3-9pm. If you've been to an event and enjoyed it, tell a friend about it and bring them along.

P.S. I'm going to start plugging it now so the word can trickle out better: the next Car Wars death match is scheduled for the January event, don't miss it.

Another month, another GAMES! We've even got leftover goodies from last month to make it better than usual (though not as awesome as last month).

Since Cranium was taken by the door prize winner last month, we'll be adding Trivial Pursuit Pop Culture 2 DVD Edition to take its place. Remember, if you bring somebody with you that has never been to GAMES! before, you'll get a second entry to win the drawing.
